They simply offer to replace the entire device even if that is the only problem. A replacement device through Apple costs between $349 and $599. All for a piece of broken glass?! This is madness!
The back glass is glued to the aluminum frame of the iPhone and is almost impossible to remove even in high heat. This is one of the main reasons this repair isn’t offered by Apple, cell service providers, or even most repair shops.
